6 Weeks Off

"Well, it looks like I don't have any work for the next 6 weeks." announced my wonderful hubby last week. Instantly, my brain rejoiced at the prospect of some family time together and a little help with educating 4 increasingly curious seven year old kids. Not to mention that I might be able to take care of an errand or two without the kids in tow. Oh, the possibilities seemed limitless!

So, a couple of days ago, I leave to run errands and leave Jeff in charge of our precious angels while I am gone. I had completely cleaned the family room the night before and even shampooed the rug as I am getting ready to host Thanksgiving here this year.

Here's what I came home to...

Which reminds me of a saying that I need to adopt as my mantra, "Cleaning the house while the kids are still growing is like shoveling the snow while it is still snowing!"
Hmmmmm, hope I survive the next 6 weeks!!!

Oh I am so there with you. I dread the weekends just for the mere fact that I just follow behind and clean up all day long and rejoice when everyone is in bed and it can finally be cleaned for a minute. I also hesitate to leave Jay in charge because I have to weigh is it easier to take them with me or come home to the tornado that rips through the house. :> I feel your pain. Happy Thanksgiving.

Love the shoveling snow thing. i will for sure keep you posted on our upcoming move. In fact I may use you to answer some questions along the way, LOL.. W should know for sure where we will be going to by early next year. We have a few more schools to hear back from and check out. So, far my husband like the school in SLC(Westminister). All of the missionaries we have come through here are from Utah so i have been drilling them with their thoughts, LOL
